No stranger to adversity himself, Karl Romain overcame life-threatening injuries to become the World Martial Arts Champion and a Hall Of Fame Member.
Taking the knowledge gained from his experiences, Sifu Romain was inspired to create the “Champions for Life” and "Finding Balance" seminar series. These seminars are designed to encourage and motivate participants to live their dreams and win at life despite the adversity and challenges they may face. Through the inspiration of his own life’s journey, Sifu Romain has accomplished many goals including becoming a best-selling published author and speaker, as well as having made multiple television appearances on popular programs such as Oprah and The Dr. Oz Show, and regular radio appearances as a guest on various programs and as co-host of the RESET radio and digital show. Through his passion, he found his purpose, and is ready to help you find and live your dreams!
Martial Arts Accomplishments
- 1990 W.A.K.O. World Champion.
- Won Silver and Bronze Medals representing the United States in the WKA World Championship in Forms and Weapons Division, held in Kentucky in September 2000.
- Inducted into the United International Kung Fu Hall of Fame in 1996.
- Inducted into the World Christian Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 1998.
- Inducted into the World Sokeship Hall of Fame on September 23, 1995.
- Inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame

- Rated 6th place overall nationally for weapons in the PKL, 1989.
- Rated 4th place overall nationally for forms and weapons NASKA, 1989
- Participated in the Champions for Charity program, which raised funds for children in need of organ transplants.

- Retained by the New York Giants Football Organization to cross-train players during the off-season '99-2000.
- Has trained with, worked out with, and given private lessons to various professional athletes and celebrities, including Amani Toomer, Howard Cross, Michael Strahan, Tiki Barber, Greg Cornella, Emmanuel McDaniel, and Reggie Stevens from the New York Giants Football Team; John Francis Daley, star of the nationally syndicated TV series Freaks and Geeks and The Geena Davis Show; and Katie Koczynski from the U.S. Senior National Skeleton Team
.•Coordinated numerous off-site fitness and leadership programs for various municipalities, schools, and major companies including Verizon Wireless, Montessori Schools, Bell Atlantic Mobile, Whole Foods and many others.
